Trauma treatment is intense for all parties involved. Sometimes the therapeutic relationship is the first healthy relationship for a client. In this relationship, it can be easy for transference to appear.
If transference is not identified and managed in a healthy manner, it can be damaging for the client and limiting to their trauma healing process.
