Having effective tools to help clients heal from trauma is essential. One tool that I use frequently is inner child work or maybe you have heard it termed re-parenting work. This type of work with a trauma survivor can be really powerful, helpful, and healing.
Inner child work is basically helping the client develop the skills need to meet the needs of younger parts of themselves and to nurture and support those parts in a way that is healing.
In this week’s vlog I share a little history about inner child work. I also share how I use it in my practice and how I address the #1 barrier to help clients feel comfortable with this way of work.

I really enjoyed the Vlog on inner child work. Do you offer this training?
I am so glad you enjoyed it. I don’t offer any training at this time on this topic, but I would recommend looking into Internal Family Systems training. More info can be found here: https://www.selfleadership.org/. The founder, Dr. Jay Earley, wrote a book called Self-Therapy that might be an interesting read.
Thanks! very helpful
